The KG group of companies
Integrated Commercial and Real Estate Developer who fully owns and manages some of the largest Real Estate properties in greater Colombo. Our wider network of properties includes Wattala, Negombo, Ja-ela, Chilaw, Kandy, Trincomalee and Jaffna.
Over the years we have provided warehousing space to large logistic and shipping based companies such as Trico, Hayleys and John Keells. Our property in Wattala currently spans over 8 acres with potential to become a logistics HUB in the near future for certain blue chip companies.
Moving away from logistics some of our other real estate clients who are well known in the banking and consumer retail sectors have been Cargills, NDB, NTB and Atom.
With combined properties in Retail, Commercial and Business Locations the KG group is currently primed at diversifying its development plans into Apartment, Hospitality and Commercial Properties.

About us
The KG group of companies was incorporated in 1947 by the late Kanagasabey Gunratnam. ‘Gunam’ as he was fondly known by all those around him. With his humble beginnings in Jaffna, having moved to Colombo to start building an empire that would later become a household name in Sri Lanka.
From Instrument Writing, Plastic Manufacturing and Film Production, Gunam had a vision to expand and diversify his businesses wherever he saw opportunities. Some of the brands that have adorned many a household Sri Lanka have been;
Reynolds, Fujifilm and Camel Plastics.
Due to the socio-political climate the 3rd generation of the KG group has looked to focus on developing some of the prime land that has been left vacant over the years by maximizing their location and value by targeting and focusing on High Growth Property Sectors.
With our history and integrity well in-tact the KG group looks to grow into one of the most formidable and trustworthy real estate developers in Sri Lanka.

SANJAY PATHMARAJ
DIRECTOR/CFO
Sanjay leads the Finance and Overall Strategic Direction of the Company.
Sanjay is experienced in property development and construction having first gained experience while working for Pricewaterhouse Coopers in London. He has worked on several iconic projects such as the Mersey gateway bridge, Cross Rail, Hinkley Point & Marriott Hotel St.Kitts all in a Consultant Capacity. He has also been working for the Hinduja Group in the re-development of Sir Winston Churchill’s Old War Office in London which is a Mixed-Use Development consisting of a Luxury Hotel, Luxury Apartments and Commercial Space.
Sanjay holds a Degree in Accounting & Finance from the University of Manchester and is a Chartered Accountant (England & Wales).
DILAN PATHMARAJ
MARKETING DIRECTOR
Dilan overlooks the marketing and overall business development of the company. His experience includes front end marketing and building new business models and ideas. After joining MAS Holdings 6 years ago, Dilan joined the groups central innovation team where he worked directly with the Chief growth officer to build new ideas and adjacencies that were different from the core business of apparel. Having been exposed to working with numerous startups and digital businesses, Dilan brings a different thinking and approach to the group.
He currently heads the innovation team at Linea Aqua, a $100 million JV business between MAS Holdings and Speedo international that is one of the largest manufacturers of swim wear in the world.
Dilan holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Massachusetts
Chithra Perera
QUANTITY SURVEYOR
Starting in 1986, this highly regarded professional is working throughout his 32 nd year of his career. He is a well-known character in the construction industry because of his fabulous
work history. The largest project he has ever undertaken in his career is the Jetty Extension Project in China Bay which had the contract sum of Rs. 1.2 billion. Furthermore, he is the
pioneer in Sri Lankan construction industry to cost a project consisting 93 piles under the sea. Apart from that, he has cost various kinds of projects including apartments, hotels, high-rise
buildings and many more.
He completed Part 1, 2, and 3 in Quantity Surveying at City & Guilds of London Institute in late 80s and early 90s. Moreover, he holds the associate membership at Architects and
Surveyors Institute.
ASHAN PATHIRANA
CIVIL ENGINEER
Ashan is a newly qualified Civil engineer from the University of Morattuwa. He is the youngest member on the team and is also a CIMA passed finalist. He has proved to be a vital asset to the team given his background in both Business and Engineering. He has been the vital link between all the different groups of stakeholders involved.
